Tree Services / Free Mulch

We recently got a nice load of cedar wood chips from Marin Tree Service (about 10 yards). They also removed a bunch of trees from our property a few months ago and I highly recommend them. Very professional and courteous.

In case anyone isn’t aware that this is available – you can call your local tree service company and request that they dump their wood chips in your driveway and they usually will w/in a week for free.

Wood chips are a great way to suppress weeds and amend the soil. They typically decompose w/in one year. Plan on spreading them 3-4 inches deep to completely block the sun from the soil to prevent weed growth. One yard covers about 100 square feet at 3 inches deep.
