Silkie J laid her 1st egg

I have been in a bad mood because 2 or the 3 chickens that were laying eggs went broody so I was only getting about 1 egg a day.

Then on Friday, October 28, one of the silkies laid an egg. I think it was Silkie J.  She was 26 weeks and 2 days.

It is a pretty light cream colored egg and a good size for her 1st egg.  Here is compared to one of the Easter Egger’s egg.
